Ah, it’s that time again! The “eagle” descends once again at Downsville Central School. At the Walton Central School, 10 miles back north over Bear Spring Mountain, the “warrior” is armed and ready for another football season.
The teachers at both of the schools in which I serve as District Technology Coordinator are returning to their classrooms today and readying themselves for the first day of school tomorrow.
It’s always an exciting, and stressful, time. In the technology realm, everyone has high expectations for the instructional technology in their classrooms. Any glitches are ours to solve–ASAP! No pressure here…
While we all dig into the start of a new school year, another “back to school” is on my radar: Year Four, the final year of Diaconate formation for the 7 other men and me in the Dioceses of Syracuse. Our first classes begin this Friday evening. I’m praying that the Holy Spirit is with each of us, fortifying us for the challenges of this ordination year.
