Over the past year I’ve mentioned how meaningful praying the Psalms has become for me as part of the Liturgy of the Hours. The Hours are regarded as truly sacred prayer because as we pray the Hours, we are, in effect, in that same position that Jesus was when he prayed: invoking the words, images and spiritual truth of the psalmists.
